Retreats for Certified Iyengar Teachers and Students currently registered in
recognized Iyengar Yoga Teacher Training Programs
The Iyengar Yoga Retreats are meant for teachers and trainees who would like to
improve their teaching abilities to become more effective instructors. The program will
be particularly beneficial for those preparing to take assessments for Iyengar
certification.

The Instructor, Linda Shevloff
Linda Shevloff is a certified Senior Level instructor who has been teaching Iyengar Yoga
for over 30 years. She is an experienced teacher trainer and assessor
who has held the post as Chairman of Assessment and Teacher
Training for the Iyengar Yoga Association of Canada (IYAC), and
also has been Head of Assessments for the Iyengar Yoga Association
of South East and East Asia (IYASEEA). Linda was the founder of
The Iyengar Yoga Centre of Hong Kong where she set up and ran a
successful teacher training program that was the first of its kind in
Asia. She has considerable background in the area of training and
assessments and will give participants personal feedback on their
teaching and presentation skills.
Linda currently lives both on Koh Samui and in Vancouver, B.C., spending half a year in
each place.
The Venue
Absolute Sanctuary Retreat Centre in Koh Samui, Thailand
Absolute Sanctuary is a beautiful Moroccan inspired boutique wellness resort
specializing in detox, spa & yoga holiday programs. The resort features 3 fully
equipped yoga studios, spa cuisine meals, infinity edge swimming pool, detox & spa
center and single or double room accommodations.
Each retreat includes a six night stay, 3 meals per day (except for check in & check out
days), roundtrip airport transfers. Equipment for asana class is provided. Participants
are entitled to a 30 min complimentary foot massage and might choose to book extra
massage treatments if they wish ( price not included )
The resort is on a secluded hillside not far from a number of lovely beaches and small
Thai beach towns. Views of the ocean are visible from the centre. It is a perfect place to
get away from it all and to retreat from the routine of daily life.
Those who plan to extend their stay on Samui for vacation will find it is an affordable,
tourist friendly island with a wide range of hotels and restaurants. The Thai people are
very friendly and welcoming.
Teacher Training Intensives
Intensive training workshops provide teachers with time to focus on the challenges of
teaching outside of their regular class schedules. In a supportive, focused environment
they can share their questions, difficulties and observations and learn from each other.
They can improve their presentation of asana and deepen their understanding.

The Cost
The price of each retreat includes:
• 38 hours of teacher training
• 6 nights twin accommodation at Absolute Sanctuary
• Airport pick up
• Dinner on the arrival day

A deposit of $200 will reserve your place.
Full payment for January retreat is due November 1. Before November 1, refunds are
subject to a $50 administration fee. After November 1 refunds will be given only if your
space can be filled.
Full payment for April retreats are due on February 1. Same refund rules apply.
